We’re excited to announce Recycly 2025.13 - smaller than our usual releases but packed with useful new features such as direct printing, and improvements to document and label templates, label management, data imports, integrations, and admin controls.
Direct Printing
- Added a “Print Action” choice to either open reports in the browser or send them directly to a printer.
- Introduced Default Printer options in System Settings.
- Added a dedicated Printer Settings tab in User Preferences.
- Enabled assigning specific printers to specific users per report.
- Displayed the print destination (browser or printer) on Document and Label Template lists.
- Added printer settings on Label Template screens.
- Ensured each printer has a unique, clear Friendly Name for easier selection.
- Relabelled and clarified printer description and user-level printer settings.
- Added an info panel explaining printer capabilities.
- Checked printer online/offline status before printing and showed a warning if offline.
- Added guidance when no printers are configured.
- Added a log note each time a document is printed.
- Created this detailed guide on how to set up and configure Direct Printing.
Documents & Templates
- Refined fields and usability on Document Template and Label Template screens.
- Delivered additional usability enhancements across Documents and Templates in multiple areas of the system.
Label Management
- Added the ability to archive label sizes and search for archived labels.
Imports
- Updated the Asset Types import template to require tick box values as 0/1 for more reliable imports.
Integrations
- Improved reliability of the Certus integration and included Grading readings.
Administration & Security
- Blocked non-Recycly users from installing apps or add-ons as this was identified as a security risk.
