Lumi is RecyclyERP's guide. It points at the next thing to press on the screen in front of you, says in one line why, and follows you from screen to screen until the job is done. It never does anything you did not ask it to.
1. Starting Lumi
Open an Inbound Order or a Collection or Drop-off, and press Show Me the Next Steps in the help panel at the top of the screen. The button only shows where there is something left to do.
A card opens beside the first step, with a highlight round the button, tab or field it is talking about. The card's title says which step you are on, for example Lumi - Step 1 of 3.
2. Moving through the steps
- Next moves to the following step without doing anything. On the last step it reads Finish.
- Back goes to the step before.
- Do This Now presses the button for you, exactly as if you had pressed it yourself, so any question it asks still appears. Lumi then adds a Log Note to the record saying it pressed that button for you, from the "Show Me the Next Steps" guide.
You can always press the button yourself instead. Lumi notices, and carries on.
3. Following you across screens
When a button opens another screen or a pop-up, Lumi goes with you and carries on there. A line under the card shows the screens you have come through, with the one you are on in bold.
Some work takes a while, such as scanning items in. On those steps Lumi points at the right place once, then steps aside into a one-line strip at the bottom of the window so it is not in your way. The card comes back when you press the button the strip names, or Show Card.
4. Pausing and carrying on
If you go somewhere the guide was not taking you, Lumi pauses and shows Lumi: guide paused in the bottom corner. Press Resume to go back to where you were and carry on, or simply go back there yourself. The guide also survives reloading the page.
Before every step Lumi checks the record again. If someone else has changed it so that the step no longer applies, for example by cancelling the collection, Lumi says so and offers only End Guide.
5. Finishing
Press End Guide at any time. When the guide ends, by finishing or by ending it, the All done card lists each step: a tick and a link for what was done, a dash for what was skipped, and anything left under Not done yet. Press Close to put it away.
6. The guides
- Inbound Order next steps: from wherever the job is up to, whether nothing is booked yet, it is waiting for goods, receiving them, or all received.
- Collection next steps: from a draft collection or drop-off through Waiting and Ready to Process to Processed, including printing labels and booking in.
- Book a Collection and Receive It: from an Inbound Order with nothing booked, through Schedule Collection (or Schedule Drop-off) and the pop-up, the new collection, Book In Items & Lots on whichever booking-in screen you use, and Receive All Into Stock, finishing on the All done card.
