There are currently two ways to create Outbound Sales Orders in Recycly
Option 1. Adding Specific Items or Lots directly to an Outbound Sales Order
If you have a customer that wishes to purchase specific items from your inventory (for example if you have previously sent them a stock list), you can add those specific items directly to a sales order.
- Go to the Outbound app -> Items & Deliveries -> Items & Lots to bring up your current stock list
- Select the specific items that are being sold using the tick boxes in the first column of the list (you can use the filters and groups options to quickly find the right items)
- Click the Add to Outbound Quote or Order button
- Select whether to add the items to a new Quote or directly to a new Order
This will create a new Sales Order with those specific items assigned. - You can then add the Customer and Address details, and a PO Number as appropriate.
Option 2. Create a General Sales Order, and leave stock assignment to the warehouse team
This option is appropriate when you wish to create a sales order for general stock (e.g. "Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch 2020") without having to assign specific items or lots to the order. Assigning the specific items to the order will be done by the warehouse team when the order is dispatched.
- Go to the Outbound app -> Quotes & Sales Orders
- Select either the Quotations or Sales Orders option, as appropriate
- Click the New button to create a new record
- Fill in the Customer and Address details, and add a PO Number as appropriate
- Now, in the Order Lines table, click Add an Item / Service.
- In the Item or Service column, select the appropriate Asset Type (for example "Laptop" or "Desktop PC")
- Leave the Specific Item or Lot column blank (unless you wish to select a specific item or lot for the order)
- In the Description column, enter the description of the item being purchased, this will be carried through to the Warehouse Delivery Order to allow them to pick and assign the correct item to the order.
- Enter a Quantity and set the Unit Price appropriately
NOTE: We will shortly be adding a "SKUs" feature to Recycly which will allow you to set up products such as "Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch 2020" as a managed product along with a standard price, which will remove the need to manually set a Description and Price
